2012 Nationals

On behalf of the Otago Volkswagen Enthusiasts Club it is my pleasure to announce our intention to host the New Zealand Volkswagen Nationals in 2012.

We have contacted all the other NZ clubs regarding this proposition and received nothing but positive comments, despite this going against the â€œtwo North to one Southâ€

Pretty sure Auckland have put there hands up, best they confirm.

Yeah, I understand Auckland claimed 2011. We were going to offer to host that one but they jumped in at the last minute. :lol:

Is this event still happening? I'am living in oz at the momenent, and thinking of moving back to NZ next year with our splitty we have been working on for the last three years,hopefully finished in September. Anyway i've always wanted to see war birds over wanaka ,so the two things would go together really well.

If you were referring here to the Warbirds event itself (http://www.warbirdsoverwanaka.com/) then yes it is

But bear in mind it's a biannual event and next scheduled for Easter 2012...

I don't think there's any link between the two events planned. All going well, I hope to take in both - Wanaka on the Saturday and Dunedin Nats on the Sunday. The cruise between Wanaka and Dunedin over the pigroot in an ACVW is sweeeet
